( Started in Germany already as “Versöhnung der Werte“)
Reconciliation of Values – Art as a Cultural Platform for Love, Respect, and Democratic Responsibility.
In ongoing collaboration with Winter Stiftung, the Reconciliation of Values (Versöhnung der Werte) project establishes an independent cultural platform dedicated to social dialogue grounded in dignity, mutual respect, and human responsibility.
At a time marked by political polarization, misinformation, ideological fragmentation, and increasing social instability, the project seeks to activate the ethical dimension of art.
It consciously engages emotional awareness and critical reflection as necessary foundations for peaceful coexistence and sustainable societal development.
The initiative proceeds from the conviction that artistic freedom is not merely a cultural privilege, but a structural pillar of democratic societies. Where freedom of expression is protected, art can question power, expose contradictions, and contribute to ethical self-examination. Where such freedoms are restricted, art becomes an essential instrument of human articulation and inner liberation.
Participating artists are invited to develop works that engage with values such as empathy, responsibility, justice, reconciliation, and civic courage.
Contributions should demonstrate intellectual integrity and a clear awareness of art’s societal role, fostering dialogue across political, cultural, and generational divides.
Selected works may be presented and published through Artforum and, subject to agreement, disseminated through partner organizations and international networks to ensure professional visibility and long-term impact.
The project affirms art as a transformative force—capable of strengthening democratic culture, restoring trust, and contributing to the ethical development of society.
